Maya Picture Archive
On my trips in Central America, I visited two maya sites. In 1996, the impressive Copan Ruinas in Honduras. It is large and still quite intact. The quality is good, although several stelae that are on the site are actually replicas.
I visited Tulum in 2005, and it has a completely different atmosphere because it is right on the Caribbean coast. Clearly, much less details can be seen in the stone carvings. There is however a wonderful Diving God to be seen in the Castillo. Click to find out...
